Social Engagement

Final Design/Mockup

Date: August 2025
Role: Conceptualized and designed the official Move-In volunteer shirt for Washington State University, worn by hundreds of students and staff volunteers assisting new students with their dorm move-in. I led the design process from initial concept sketches to final production, working closely with the Student Affairs team to align the design with campus branding. The shirt design evolved from a streetwear-inspired aesthetic into a vintage stamp and prairie theme, celebrating the region’s agricultural history. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I created a bold, recognizable graphic that gave volunteers a cohesive identity, improved visibility on campus, and contributed to a welcoming atmosphere for incoming students.

“Cougar Pride Through the Decades” - Chinook Decal

Date: July 2025
Role: Graphic Designer designed a large-scale mural/decal for the Chinook Student Center, celebrating Cougar pride through the decades. The design incorporated archival images, iconic campus buildings, and well-known chants and phrases familiar to students and alumni alike. Installed in the Chinook—a 69,000-square-foot hub for recreation, study, and socializing that averages 1,650 student visits per day—the piece receives significant daily visibility. Collaboration with multiple WSU departments and peers ensured historical accuracy, visual appeal, and strong community resonance.

Role: Created a mural for the Compton Union Building, WSU’s central student hub that welcomes 8,000–10,000 visitors daily. The design celebrated Cougar pride and campus community, incorporating vibrant imagery tied to WSU’s history and student life. Positioned within a LEED-certified, 200,000-square-foot facility that houses dining, study spaces, cultural centers, and event venues, the mural was strategically placed to maximize visibility and engagement. Collaboration with campus departments and student organizations ensured the final piece resonated with WSU’s diverse and dynamic community.
